One thing I really wanted in my Sienna camper was a kitchen setup that actually works in real life – not just looks good on YouTube 😄
So here are my “3 amigos” of van cooking:
☕ Low-power kettle
Perfect for coffee, tea, oatmeal… or giving my shower water bucket a quick temperature boost.
🥪 Panini press
This thing surprised me the most. It makes hot sandwiches, reheats pizza leftovers (honestly tastes BETTER than fresh 😄), and can even fry thin slices of meat.
🍳 Induction cooktop
Probably my favorite. Super efficient, precise temperature control, and no wasted heat like regular hotplates. Great for boiling, frying, or full meals inside the van.
Together they handle probably 90% of my cooking needs while traveling – all electric, no open flames inside a tiny minivan.
And the whole kitchen module can slide outside onto a picnic table when the weather is nice and I feel like cooking al fresco 🌲
Then in the evening… the Weber BBQ takes over 😄
That little steak machine never disappoints.
If you’re curious how everything is organized in the van, here’s the full setup video:
