One feature of my Toyota Sienna that turned out to be perfect for camper life is the huge moonroof over the second row.
It also happens to sit underneath my roof solar panels, which give it some protection from both rain and direct sun.
That gave me an idea: why not use the moonroof for passive ventilation at night?
I first tried a ready-made magnetic mosquito net, but the magnets were too weak and the whole thing had to come off before driving.
So I built my own version using lightweight plastic strips cut to the moonroof size, magnetic tape, and extra neodymium magnets for a much stronger hold.
Now the mosquito screen can stay in place even while driving.
When I arrive at camp, I just slide the moonroof open and the ventilation is basically ready.
